Thermometer checkers have been developed to verify the continuing accuracy of type K thermocouple thermometers or temperature controllers with a 0.1 or 1°C resolution and ±0.5°C accuracy.
Each instrument electronically simulates three fixed temperatures, enabling quality inspectors or managers to check the accuracy of each instrument at three known points without the need for specialised equipment or tables. Simply plug in the checker, select the temperature required and compare the temperature reading of your thermometer against the checker.

thermocouple type K test caps
These thermocouple test caps have been developed to verify the continuing accuracy of any type K thermocouple thermometer with a 0.1 or 1°C resolution, irrespective of manufacturer.
Each test cap electronically simulates a fixed temperature with an accuracy of ±0.4°C, enabling inspectors or managers to check the accuracy of each instrument at a known point without the need for specialised equipment or conversion tables.
Standard test caps are available to simulate -18, 0, +3, +70 or +100°C. Each test cap is supplied with a UKAS Certificate of Calibration which indicates deviations fromstandards at a specific temperature.
