This range of general purpose refractometers are optical instruments for measuring the content of dissolved solids in aqueous solutions. The refractometers work on the principle of light refraction through liquids. When passing light through a liquid, the refracted angle will be shown on the scale to determine the amount of dissolved solids in the liquid.
The refractometers are manufactured from corrrosion resistant sateen brass and incorporate a rubber-insulated hand grip.
All refractometers incorporate automatic temperature compensation (ATC) and are suitable for applications where the temperature of samples vary.
