The AquaTemp 3 and 6 waterproof thermometers are similar in specification to the AquaTemp 1 & 5 with the added benefit of a precision engineered socket which allows interchangeable probes to be plugged into the instrument. Both probe 'Open Circuit' and 'Low Battery' are indicated on the LCD display, when applicable. The AquaTemp incorporates a push button audible on/off switch and is powered by a standard 12 volt MN21 alkaline battery.
The AquaTemp 3 and 6 waterproof thermometers utilise type K thermocouple sensors and measure temperature over the range of -30 to +850°C with a resolution of 1°C (AquaTemp 3) or -99.9 to +199.9°C with a resolution of 0.1°C (AquaTemp 6). The accuracy of both the AquaTemp 3 and 6 thermometers can be checked by plugging in a thermometer test cap, see page 20 for details.

The AquaTemp 3 and 6 waterproof thermometers utilise a user-friendly, precision socket, with a reliable self-latching connector. Unlike many connectors of this type, the contacts are manufactured from type K thermocouple materials which eliminate measurement errors.
